ERIC SANDERSON

Eric oversees day-to-day operations at Serevi™as Chief Operating Officer. Team building, writing and project management have anchored a career that has taken Eric from Washington D.C. to craft white papers on technology; to Hong Kong where he built an Asia region communications practice for a management consulting firm; to Tokyo where he ran the Northeast Asia region for his firm; and onto Seattle where he has freelanced on a paid and volunteer basis for various corporations and non-profits, always in the strategic communications realm. Eric has a BA from Central College in Pella, Iowa and a Master's in International Business Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. When he's not working, Eric is a helpless sports and sports journalism addict and is devoted to his wife and two daughters.

EVAN HAIGH

Evan is Director of Coaching here at Serevi™, building on over 10 years of experience as a rugby player/coach and in sports marketing. He is currently Head Coach of the Old Puget Sound Beach Rugby Club, a team for which he also plays. He also recruits and trains partners across the country to run camps for new coaches and players according to the Serevi System he helped develop. MATT HAWKINS

Matt is our Director of California, broadly responsible for the build-out of the California marketplace. Born in South Africa, Matt has played rugby virtually his entire life. His rugby resume is golden and very much still a work-in-process. A flanker, Matt is now the most capped sevens player in USA Eagles’ history. Based near the Olympic training facility in San Diego, Matt heads a team running programming for the California market and beyond. Matt is also on our leadership team with shared strategic responsibilities. Matt also coaches the San Diego State Aztecs.

He played college rugby at BYU, where he was named All American. Born in Suva Province, Fiji, Pate once played basketball for the Fijian national team before deciding to devote himself full-time to rugby.  Pate now plays flyhalf for Old Puget Sound Beach.

MATT TROUVILLE

Matt wear two important hats:  one as a key member of our program development team in the office and one as an on-the-field coach. Matt’s sense of humor, charm, teaching background and rugby experience all stand him in good faith with children, who call him Aussie Matt. A native of Sydney, Matt played for the Southern District Rugby Club before returning there briefly to coach. He completed his education degree at the Australian College of Physical Education.

TREVOR RICHARDS

Trevor is a jack of all trades on the brand & marketing team at Serevi™.  Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Trevor and his family immigrated to Nebraska when he was 10.  Following high school, Trevor went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he studied business administration and history.  A rugby fan and player for as far back as he can remember, Trevor carries a love of the game that his grandfather, father, and brother helped instill in him.   Before being sidelined due to injury, Trevor was a member of the U.S. 7s Team player pool and went on tour with the team to Fiji in 2010.  Prior to joining Serevi™, Trevor was involved with coaching high school and college rugby in Nebraska.

ANDREW DURUTALO

Andrew is a jack of all trades at Serevi™, working in the office on both programming and branding, as well as helping on the field at Training Camps and Academy sessions. Born in New York, Andrew has dual citizenship (USA and Fiji) and speaks three languages (English, Japanese and Fijian). After spending much of his youth in Fiji, Andrew went to university at Hakuoh University outside of Tokyo, where he completed a business administration degree. Until leaving for Japan, Andrew competed for Fiji in age groups. In 2011, he was capped for the US Eagles in Sevens play. He’s a gentle giant in the office but a force to be reckoned with on the pitch!
