The Seattle Olympic Development Academy aims to provide players with world class coaching and facilities. Our state of the art programming will set our athletes apart from the crowd by giving them the understanding, desire and aptitude to compete at the highest level.
The professionalism instilled within our athletes will be the foundation that sets them up for success for both their rugby and professional careers. Being a part of the USA Rugby Olympic Development Program is a lifestyle choice for athletes, their attitude and desire has to be in-sync with the demands of the program.
Each Serevi Rugby® Olympic Development Academy is segmented into three tiers. These tiers are based on age and ability. Each tiers program is strategically tailored to suit it’s age bracket ensuring proper and complete athletic development is occurring. The ODA adds to and does substitute existing club/school rugby platforms. All athletes will be required to participate within a club or school structure.
TIERS OF PLAY
Tier One: Elite ODA
18 & older, Olympic Caliber Athletes
Tier Two: Senior ODA
14 - 17 year olds, Up and Coming Athletes
Tier Three: Junior ODA
10 -14 year olds, Junior Athletes
Strength and conditioning will be headquarted at the brand new NS Performance facility located in the Sodo district of downtown Seattle. This world class facility is combine functional olympic weight lifting platforms with 70 meters of open indoor turf.
On field practices will be held between the grass and turf fields in the South Seattle area.
PLAYER FEES (Fees diffier by tier)
Player fees will be paid on a 10 month cycle.
ELITE - Fees are $275 per month, and include ODA tournament travel and facility charges. Players are required to purchase the prescribed Serevi® ODA kit at an annual fee of $250.
SENIOR - Fees are $250 per month, and include all facility charges. Players are required to purchase the prescribed Serevi® ODA kit at an annual fee of $250. Players will also be required to arrange travel to ODA tournaments.
JUNIOR - Fees are $225 per month, and include all facility charges. Players are required to purchase the prescribed Serevi ODA kit at an annual fee of $250. Players will also be required to arrange travel to any ODA tournaments.

THE SEREVI® PLAYER PORTAL
Coaches and trainers are able to provide individually tailored and functional training programs. These programs are accessible to players via a user portal available here. Within the portal is:

Step Two - Confirm your attendence at the next Serevi Testing Day
Step Three - Application is appoved and athletic development begins
The ten month program is split into four different phases, tailoring and peaking performance to suit the athletes existing club and school commitments. Athletes and parents will be able to track their schedule via the online player portal.
Phase One - January to June, Building the Athlete
Phase Two - June to August, Applying Pressure and Refining Performance
Phase Three - August to October, Peak Performance Management
Phase Four - November to December, Off Season
HIGH PERFORMANCE DIRECTORS
JUSTIN FITZPATRICK, After winning 26 caps for Ireland and 156 for Ulster in the Heineken Cup, Justin brings an incredible wealth of rugby knowledge to our team. Justin’s coaching resume is equally as impressive being an accredited IRFU Tutor and an IRB Licensed Educator, former Irish Women’s Scrum Coach and Pakistan RFU Head Coach. Most recently in 2013, named the USA Rugby All - Americans Collegiate Forwards Coach.
EVAN HAIGH, Evan brings ten plus years of elite level coaching experience. His vast coaching resume includes coaching in his native country of Australia with the ACT Brumbies, to the United Kingdom with Darlington RFC and finally here in the United States with Seattle OPSB. Evan has experienced coaching success in all forms of the sport.
He coached Seattle OPSB to 2010 Men’s National Sevens title and to three consecutive playoffs appearances in Rugby Super League. He also led the Seattle Women’s team to second place at the 2012 National Sevens Championship.
